Essential Qualification and Experience

Himachal Pradesh

• The applicant must possess at least a bachelor's degree in law from a recognized University in India.
• The applicant must be enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of India and must be in active practice at bar.
• The applicant should have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience for Hon'ble High Court. However, for district level Courts, Employee Insurance Courts and other forums, the applicant should have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
• The applicant should have sound professional reputation, good communication skills and adequate office infrastructure such as accessible office/chamber, staff and communication facilities.
• Desirable: i. Experience in handling Labour Law cases. ii. LLM (master's degree in law) shall be preferred.

West Bengal

• The applicant must possess at least a bachelor's degree in law from a recognized University in India.
• The applicant must be enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of India and must be in active practice at bar.
• For Hon'ble Supreme Court matters, the applicant should be an Advocate-on-Record, wherever such empanelment is required.
• The applicant should have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience for Hon'ble Supreme Court, Hon'ble High Courts and various benches of Hon'ble CAT. However, for district level Courts and other forums, the applicant should have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience. The required experience may be specified in the advertisement depending upon the nature of court.
• The applicant should have sound professional reputation, good communication skills and adequate office infrastructure such as accessible office/chamber, staff and communication facilities.
• The Director General, ESIC may relax or modify eligibility conditions in appropriate cases for reasons to be recorded in writing.

• For West Bengal - Interested candidates are required to submit in their application in the prescribed format and shall submit it to The Joint Director (Legal) Employees' State Insurance Corporation Regional Office, West Bengal & Sikkim Panchdeep Bhawan, 5/1, Grant Lane, Kolkata – 700012 latest by 21.08.2026 up to 6:00 PM
