The Supreme Court of India has issued a fresh public notice warning the public against a fraudulent website allegedly impersonating the Court's official online presence and being used for targeted phishing.

In the advisory dated August 13, the Supreme Court Registry identified sp-court-in.com as a newly detected fraudulent domain designed to mimic the official website of the Supreme Court of India. The notice cautioned that cybercriminals operating through the fake website could attempt to deceive users into sharing sensitive personal information and confidential credentials.

The Registry warned that such disclosures could facilitate the theft of personal and financial data. It urged members of the public and other stakeholders to exercise caution while accessing websites or electronic communications claiming to be associated with the Supreme Court.

The Court clarified that it is the registered user of the official domain sci.gov.in and advised users to verify the authenticity of URLs before clicking on or engaging with them. Users were also encouraged to carefully check website addresses, including by hovering over links before opening them.

The advisory further advised individuals who believe they may have fallen victim to the phishing attempt to immediately change passwords for their online accounts. They were also asked to notify their respective banks in case of any suspected unauthorised access or financial compromise.

The latest warning follows earlier public notices issued by the Supreme Court on July 16, 2025, and April 28, 2026, concerning fraudulent websites created to clone or impersonate the Court's official website.

The Registry has urged all stakeholders to remain vigilant and avoid sharing personal, financial or login information through suspicious links or websites claiming to represent the Supreme Court.
